Paris,
France – French president Jacques Chirac announced a mid-November referendum to
help France decide how to respond if an American invasion of Iraq takes
place. Chirac stated that the
referendum would be held quickly in order for France to formulate its plans
before any US led invasion occurs.
French voters will go to the polls to decide whether France will
surrender to the United States or to Iraq.
Many Frenchmen feel that the US is the logical choice as it is
considered to be the aggressor nation.
Other Frenchmen contend that by surrendering to Iraq, the country can
once again be liberated by the US, which is expected to win the war.
